Shopping for floor tiles therefore isn't the issue-laying them is. For person who hasn't tried it yet, it can be both rewarding and nerve-racking at the same time. We came up with some tips, though, so you don't feel too lost:

Level the surface. Floor tiles are effectively installed if the floor is level or smooth. If it's not, you can prep it up first by adding a primer or sealing holes. If you're using wood, you have the option to either remove it or not. You may have to do the former if it's showing safe bet signs of deterioration. If not, you can reinforce the wood with thick plywood. This way, it can fully support the weight of the floor tiles.

Locate the center. The reason for doing this is to avoid a very thin floor tile edge. This is also recommended if you wish to feature a specific tile. Use this time too to arrange your tiles first before you go on attaching them to your subfloor. Take note of their distance. You may have to make adjustments once in a while or add some markers to remember where to place them.

Start spreading the adhesive. When you're fully satisfied, you can then apply the adhesive. So they are evenly applied, you can make use of a spreader. When putting on the first floor tile, make sure that you can slightly wiggle it so it sticks firmly to the floor. Then work on the succeeding tiles. You can put a spacer so you can keep track of the distance between each tile. To flat out the covering before you attach the tile, keep the spirit level handy. Allow the tiles to admittedly stick to the floor by leaving it for 24 hours.

Apply grout and seal. A grout ensures that your tiles hold firm to the floor. There are different grout mixtures you can use these days. You can always ask which one is the best to use for your floor. Wait for the grout to cure by leaving it as is for around 2 days. After that, you can apply the seal to make your grout and floor tiles more long lasting.
